My animals must be taking after me, it seems all anyone wants to do around here is sleep. After a year of living in a windowless basement, looking out the windows has also become a favorite activity.

Freyja: AKC certified Mutt

So my best friend Amy Q (soon to be Amy Q.H.) recently told me that she now considers Freyja a separate breed. Example: "look it's a Freyja dog." In order to conform to breed standards a "Freyja" must be skinny, have short golden hair, prick ears, dark eyes, and a general lack of self awareness.
Above is an excellent example of the breed. (Can you believe that's not my dog?)

Niagara Falls

Brian and I made a day trip to Niagara Falls. I didn't know if puppies were allowed but we saw a lot of dogs when we got there, so maybe the puppies can come next time.

It's a puppy party!

This weekend we are celebrating Cisco's 7th and Freyja's 3rd birthdays! I can't believe my puppies are growing up so fast. Cousin Buddy the Beagle has been invited and Brian and I spent today making treats. I made homemade dog biscuits for the canines and Oreo paw print cake and "Dog Food" party mix (cocoa puffs, chocolate covered pretzels, and M&M's) for the people. Happy Birthday kids!

Mini-me!

My sister in law is babysitting a mini-Australian shepherd named Chloe. When I first heard of this breed I thought it was a little silly, what does it herd, mini-sheep? But I have to say when I saw Chloe I was hooked. This dog is ten months old and literally the size of my cat! it's like a pocket Cisco. I think I want one, or two. Or ten.

Winter in Ohio

Christmas has come and gone and we've had our fair share of snow. It's up to our knees and still coming! Just taking the dogs out to potty is an arctic adventure. Cisco and Freyja are loving it. Leto, not so much...
